Volvo XC90 LoungeVolvo India launched their uber luxury flagship model, the XC90 Lounge today at a starting price of INR 1.42 Crores. This model is based on the XC90 Lounge Console concept showcasedat Shanghai in 2015. The car has is designed to be driven around in as it does not have a passenger seat in the front, providing a unique three seat arrangement. The left side passenger gets humongous amount of leg space up to the footwell on the left side front. This space has been provided with a powered rising leg-rest which also comprises a fold-away 12.9-inch touch-screen and lockable storage compartments. These luxurious seats wrap you in the best perforated and ventillated nappa leather. The leather extends to the dashboard with linear walnut decor inlays to break the monotony of leather.

Slide2Adding to the luxuries offered  to the rear passengers, the rear seats are reclinable and have massage functions. The list of goodies does not end here. Once seated in the back you can enjoy a chilled champagne from the refrigerator installed under the rear middel hand rests in crystal flutes provided in the car. There is a popup screen between the seats to adjust the type of massege desired by the royalty. It can also control the temperature of the four zone climate control to make its wealthy owners absolutely comfortable. If the sun is a bit of a bother, or for privacy from those prying paparazzi, lower the sunblinds on the rear windows. Feeling like enjoying a bit of fresh air, open up the paniramic sun roof and let the cool breeze in. A 20 speaker Bowers and Wilkins systems will belt out your favourite songs on those long drives.

Volvo XC90 Lounge InteriorsThe car is powered by a T83S Plug in Hybrid petrol engine displacing 1969 cc and producing a maximum output of 408 BHP. It also produces a torque of 640 N-m which is transmitted to all the four wheels through a permanent AWD 8-speed automatic. The Volvo XC90 Lounge is provided with the convenience of a key less entry and hands free tailgate operation. Volvo XC90 has air suspension on all four ends to smoothen out any rough edges on our bumpy roads. The car has a ground clearance of 238 mm which can be raised to 267 mm with the air suspension.

This car is raising the bar for others in the luxury SUV segement, ticking all the right boxes in luxury, safety, comfort and eco-friendliness.
