Roborace, the company promoting autonomous car racing has announced its first season of races called Season Alpha. The season will comprise a number of races across USA and Europe where various teams running autonomous race cars will compete against each other.

The races will be held using the DevBot 2.0 vehicles. Each participating team will have the same vehicle. The hardware of these vehicles is managed centrally hence providing and identical car to each team. The vehicle runs on NVIDIA Drive platform and is a fully autonomous electric vehicle. However, it has an option to be driven by a human.

So what will differentiate the teams? Well, each team will develop its own AI driver software which will be installed in the DevBot 2.0. May the smartest, most stable and robust AI software win.
