Audi is going electric and in a big way. The company has a policy in place for electrification of vehicles on offer. The latest offering from the company is the e-tron sportback SUV. It is a car with the ruggedness of SUV with the seductive looks of a four door coupe.

The car is spacious with a length of 4,901 mm, width of 1,935 mm and height of 1,616 mm. The car is aerodynamically designed in favour of efficiency and increased range and has a coefficient of drag of 0.25. The all wheel drive car is fitted with two asynchronous three phase motors, one on each axle and produces 360 PS of power and 561 N-m of torque. It can do a 0-100 Km/h in 6.6 seconds and has a top speed of 200 Km/h. For injecting more fun, Audi has also added a boot mode in which the two motors generate 408 PS of power and 664 N-m of torque for a short period to improve the 0-100 time to 5.7 seconds.
The Audi e-tron sportback is stores electric energy in a 95 KW-H battery operating at 396 Volts giving it a range of 365 Km.

The car has excellent driving characteristics. A key factor behind the sporty character and outstanding transverse dynamics of the Audi e-tron is that all drive components are installed low in the car. This has resulted in a center of gravity much lower than in a conventional SUV. Also all of the heaviest components are concentrated in the center of the vehicle giving an excellent weight distribution of almost 50:50. Installation of components components such as the five-link suspensions, the progressive steering and the electrohydraulic brake systemensure agile vehicle handling and a high degree of comfort.
