Uraltransmash is a subsidiary of the Uralvagonzavod company in Russia. The company is based in Ekaterinburg and produces a slew of products. Uraltransmash product line varies from self propelled artillery to equipment for oil and gas industry.

The company also produces trams for public transport. Uraltransmash has developed a new line of trams, 71-418. This tram is a high capacity conventional tram. It is unique is having a three section arrangement. It is a fully low floor tram with retractable ramp and meets all the accessibility requirements of the Russian Federation.

The tram has capacity to carry 320 passengers. It is 27.8 m long and has stowage for wheel chairs. The 71-418 was first demonstrated at the Innoprom exhibition in 2019. The Uraltransmash 71-418 was tested extensively on the tracks within the company premises before it was released for tests on public tracks in the city of Ekaterinburg.

The Uraltransmash 71-418 tram is fully air conditioned and has been provided with CCTV camera for security of passengers. It has been installed with a Glonass (Russian equivalent of GPS) as well as GPS based passenger information system.
