Sanlorenzo of Italy had designed and showed the world’s first asymmetric yatch in 2018. Sanlorenzo are famous for builing bespoke, customised yachts for their rich and famous clients since1958s.  The SL102 Asymmetric was built in Viareggio. The yacht us unique in having an asymmetric design, ie, it does not look the same from port (left) and the starboard (right) side. This design philosophy has been envisioned by Massimo Perotto, chairman of Sanlorenzo for providing more space and luxury onboard the yacht. This particular model has done away with the weather deck on the port side. This has increased the space available for the living area as this area now extends till the hull.

The SL102 Asymmetric has been provided with understated ambience in shades of dark and light brown with the monotony broken by white. It has been appointed with luxurious interiors including oak and walnut wood flooring, ceilings and other fixtures. The SL102 is 31.10 m long and has a beam (width at the widest region) of 7.10 m and a draught of 1.9 m at full load. It is powered by two MTU V-16 engines producing 2,434 HP. They are able to push this yacht to a top speed of 28 knots (50 km/h).
