Today at the Frankfurt Motor Show, Hyundai revealed the new i30 N which is a lighter and lower version of the present car. The car is 50 kg lighter and 6 mm lower compared the N. The weight reduction has been achieved through extensive us of carbon-fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) in the bonnet, splitter, rear diffuser and sill. The car boats a cd of 0.32. Shod in 19″ wheels, 1998 cc 16 valve GDI engine generates 275 PS at 6000 rpm 378 N-m torque with overboost function between 1750 and 4200 rpm. It accelerates the 1950 kg car from 0 to 100 km/h in 6 seconds achieving a top speed of 250 km/h which is in serious GT region.
