Porsche have revealed the latest member of the Porsche Macan family. The car comes with the GTS badge slapped on it. This badge demonstrate that this car is special and not the run of the mill – if we can call Porsches that – Macan. The new front and rear trim and striking side skirts; and the black accents all across the car including on the LED head and tail lamps announce, “Its Special”. The brake callipers are de riguer red and show through the tasty alloy wheels. The GTS Macan is 15 mm lower than its “normal” siblings.

Inside, it comes with the sports chrono package with a red coloured tachometer taking the center stage in the dashboard. The interiors are covered in swathes of alcantara leather which can be ordered in either Carmine Red or Crayon. Steering is managed by a multifunction sports steering wheel whose rim is covered in smooth leather. Though equipped with a PDK dual clutch automatic, the gearbox can be operated manually by shift paddles provided as standard. Also standard are sports seats, exclusive to the GTS, with eight-way adjustment and pronounced side bolsters for stable support during dynamic cornering. The entertainment is taken care of by a Bose System.

The Macan GTS is powered by 2.9 litre bi-turbo V-6 petrol engine, producing 380 PS of power and 520 N-m of torque between 1,750 and 5,000 rpm ensuring excellent driveability. Handling is supported by Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) damping control system while stopping power is provided by 360 x 36 mm cast iron brakes at the front and 330 x 22 mm at the rear. Porsche also offers options for Porsche Surface Coated Brake (PSCB) with tungsten carbide coating or the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB).
