Hyundai Creta has been one of the most successful models from the company in India. It had been dominating the mid-size SUV market here since its launch. The irony is that the biggest challenge to the Creta is coming from its sibling, the Kia Seltos, which is based on the same platform. Hyundai revealed the ix25 on which the next generation Creta is based.

Keeping up with the new fad of split headlamps installed in the bumper, the next generation Hyundai Creta shall retain the looks of the ix 25 with narrow eyelid shaped DRLs mounted on top and head lamps clustered below. The car is expected to receive a new power plant also, the 1.4 litre turbo petrol from, who else? The Kia Seltos. Hyundai Creta is also expected to face mounting challenge from new Chinese offering in India from the Great Wall Motors.

Hyundai would be displaying the Creta at the Auto Expo 2020 in Greater NOIDA in February, with the actual launch happening in March. The car, among other things, is expected to retain the portrait layout 10.25″ screen infotainment system installed in the ix25. The car is expected to be priced between INR 10.00 and 16.00 Lakhs (US$ 13,890 to 22,220) for various trims.
