Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is a name longer than the overall length of the compact SUV from Maruti. It is one of the most popular models from Maruti and has a vice grip over the compact SUV market fending off competition from the Ford EcoSport, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon et al. Maruti had come up a few months back stating that it will be stopping production of all diesel vehicles. Well, the results are out. The Brezza, which was available as a diesel only model has now been reintroduced in its BS VI petrol version.
The new Brezza is powered by a new 1.5 litre K-series petrol engine with a mild hybrid system. This engine produces a healthy 104 PS of power and 138 N-m of torque. It will be available with a 5 speed manual transmission or a 4 speed torque converter automatic.

In addition to this change of heart, the Brezza has got a facelift in the form of a twin slat chrome grille, dual headlights and scuff plates. It will be available in three new dual-tone colour schemes, Sizzling Red with Midnight Black roof, Torque Blue with midnight Black roof and Granite Grey with Autumn Orange roof. The Maruti Brezza is 3,995 mm long, 1,790 mm wide and 1,640 mm tall. It has a wheel base of 2,500 mm and ground clearance of 198 mm.
The new car would be priced between INR 7.34 Lakh (US$ 10,194) and INR 11.40 Lakh (US$ 15,833).
