Mercedes Benz, the largest luxury car maker in India have launched their 10th made in India car. This time it is the GLC SUV. Mercedes offers the widest range of luxury SUVs in India, a portfolio comprising eight cars. The new GLC is launched with BS 6 petrol and diesel engines. The cars come with the latest version of the MBUX driver interface which now has the capability for over the air updates. It also comes with the intelligent virtual in car assistant popularly known as ‘Hey Mercedes’ and comes with a NTG 6.0 with class leading 24X7 connected features and services from Mercedes Me Connect. The Me Connect offers features like a remote lock and unlock, car locator, speed monitor, emergency e-call etc

The diesel version is the GLC 300d 4MATIC. It is available with a 1950 cc inline 4 cylinder engine producing 245 BHP and 500 N-m of torque. The engine transmitted the power and torque to all wheels through a 9 speed G-tronic transmission. It is capable of accelerating the car from 0 to 100 Km/h in 6.6 seconds. This car can be bought in India for INR 63.70 Lakhs (US$ 87,260.00).
The other model on offer is the GLC 300 4MATIC powered by a 1991 cc BS 6, inline four cylinder petrol engine producing 258 BHP of power and 370 N-m of torque. It also uses a 9G-tronic transmission and accelerates the car from 0 to 100 Km/h in 6.3 seconds. This car would be available for INR 62.70 Lakhs (US$ 85,890.00).
