Jeep Compass, the compact SUV from Fiat Chrysler is made in Italy, Brazil, India, Mexico and China. The car has recently undergone a mid-life facelift and will be available for sale in Europe. These cars will be initially offered with front wheel drive only. However, four wheel drive vehicles with plug-in hybrid propulsion are expected in Europe by the second half of the year.

The Jeep Compass will be offered initially with petrol and diesel engine options. As part of the facelift, the cars have bee provided with better digital content, connectivity and fuel efficiency.

The Jeep Compass will be available with 1.3 litre turbo petrol engines in two states of tune. The six speed manual vehicles will come with a 130 BHP engine. The same 4 cylinder engine will produce 150 BHP when its is offered with a six speed Dual Dry Clutch Transmission (DDCT).

In the diesel avtaar, the Jeep Compass will come with a 1.6 litre MULTIJET II engine producing 120 BHP of power and 320 N-m of torque. This engine will be installed with a manual gear box and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system to meet the Euro 6 norms.

Later in the year, Fiat will offer the Jeep Compass with a plug in hybrid 4xe model. These cars will come with 1.3 litre Global Small Engine producing 190 and 240 BHP mated to an electric motor. The combined propulsion package would provide a four wheel drive capability to the Jeep Compass.

All the models of the Jeep Compass are being offered with five levels of trim, Sport, Longitude, Night Eagle, Limited and S.
