MG Motors India, the Indian arm of Chinese car maker SAIC has launched the Hector +, which is a larger version of the Hector. The Hector+ comes with six seats arranged in three rows as against five seats in two rows in the Hector. There are two middle seats, which are comfortable Captain’s seats.
The car has a soothing Sepia and brown interiors and comes with all the connected features of Hector. The car has been launched at an introductory price of INR 13.48 Lakhs (US$ 18,465.00). The introductory price is available for one month. MG Motors has also entered into an agreement with CarDekho.com for an assured buy back price under the 3-60 programme. Under this plan, CarDekho.com will buy a three year old Hector+ at an assured price of 60% of the original price.
The MG Hecto+ can be booked at any of the MG Motors dealers, on their app or online. MG Motors is offering the MG Shield and MG Shield+ services with the car. The MG Shield includes Free-three ‘5s’, i.e. 5-year/Unlimited KMs warranty, 5-year Roadside Assistance, and Free Labour Charges for the first 5 services.
On the other side, the MG Shield+ offers Digital Scheduling and Online Booking of HECTOR PLUS, MGCARE@Home, and Over-The-Air updates alongside others. It has also introduced the MG V PHY, a contactless audio-guided feature demonstration of its products at showrooms while maintaining social distancing. Through MG’s partnership with Medklinn, customers can also avail CerafusionTM technology which is the world’s best for in-car sterilisation to keep themselves and their families safe naturally without chemicals.
The MG Hector+ comes with several comfort features like 3rd row AC vents with separate speed control, four way power adjustable front passenger seat, bottle holders in all doors, auto headlamps, cooled glove compartment, cruise control, dual pane panoramic sunroof, an engine start stop button, foot activated auto tailgate operation, rain sensing wipers, steering adjustable for reach and rake etc.
Inside, the Hector+ comes with a 7 inch coloured digital display, eight colour ambient lighting, and leather wrapped steering wheel.
For safety, the car comes with 360 degree camera view, ABS with EBD and brake assist, cornering front fog lamps, ESP, Hill hold control, and disc brakes all round.
The Hector + comes with a chit chat voice interaction, geo fencing, inbuilt gana app with premium account, pre-loaded entertainment content from MG, etc.
The MG Hector+ comes equipped with a either a 1.5 litre turbo charged and intercooled petrol engine which produces 143 PS of power at 5,000 rpm and 250 N-m of torque between 1600 and 3600 rpm. The power and torque is transmitted to the wheels through a DCT transmission.
