Benelli has announced commencement of bookings for the retro looking Imperiale 400 in India. The bike can be booked for a small amount of INR 4,000.00 only. Benelli is offering a 3 years unlimited mileage warranty in India.

The Imperiale is an interpretation of the 1950 Benelli MotoBi range of bikes. The Imperiale is powered by a single cylinder, four stroke, air cooled engine with a single overhead cam. It has electronic metering of fuel and claims to put out 20.4 HP of power at 5,500 rpm. The single cylinder twists out 28 N-m of torque at 3,500 rpm.

It has a compact and durable double cradle frame made from steel tubes. The front suspension duty is done by telescopic forks having a travel of 110 mm and a diameter of 41 mm. Rear suspension comprises swinging arm with double shock absorber with a travel of 65 mm. The teardrop fuel tank, retro looking headlamps and chrome exhausts as well as the design of the exhaust accentuate its retro claims.

For safety the bike has been installed with two piston floating caliper disc brake measuring 300 mm in dia at the front. A 240 mm dia single piston caliper does duty on the rear wheel. The front wheels are 19″ Aluminium alloys mounting 110/90 tyres while the rear are 18″ mounting 130/80 tyres.

In India you can choose your bike in red, black or chrome.
