E-trio is an Indian startup based in Hyderabad, India. The company produces electric bikes under their own brand name. In addition the company has also developed electric power trains and battery systems along with battery cooling and control systems as kits. These kits are used to retrofit IC engine cars into electric cars. The company has already developed the kits as well as converted popular car models like the Maruti Suzuki Alto and Dezire and Tata Ace into electric vehicles.

The vehicle developed two kits, the EV 150 and the EV 180. The EV150 kit has a range of 150 KM and is fitted with a 17.28 KW-h lithium iron phosphate (lifepo 4) battery with smart battery management system. The kit has a 10 KW 3 phase AC electric motor. It has a 3.3 KW AC onboard charger. This kit can help cars achieve a top speed of 80 km/h. On the other hand, the EV180 kit has a range of 180 KM. The electric energy for this kit is stored in 17.8 KW-H lithium iron phosphate (lifepo 4) battery with smart battery management system. The kit has a 3 phase AC motor developing 15 KW. The maximum speed achieved using this kit is also 80 km/h.

The retrofitted cars have been certified by ARAI and ICAT. e-Trio is also certified by the VRDE under Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). The company has appointed BharatMobi as its B2C channel partner and working towards the certification for 15 more categories of vehicles.
