Lamborghini has unleashed another beast. This one is designed and optimised to offer more fun to the driver, allowing him to slide, drift and generally have more fun thanks to a rear wheel drive setup and a Performance Traction Control System (P-TCS) which is optimised and tuned for the rear wheel drive.

The P-TCS has three driving modes, STRADA (Street), SPORT and CORSA (Track). The traction control system behaves differently in all the three modes to allow the driver maximum fun and control in a safe manner keeping in mind the general conditions while driving on public roads in STRADA mode, less visited twisties in SPORT mode or on the race track in CORSA mode. In the STRADA mode, the P-TCS minimizes rear wheel slippage to ensure stability and safety in all conditions. In SPORT mode, the P-TCS maximizes the fun-to-drive experience allowing the rear wheels to slide and skate during acceleration, for easy drifting fun without compromising safety; while in the CORSA mode, the P-TCS is calibrated to achieve the rear-wheel slip that optimizes the car’s traction and agility when exiting a corner, allowing the driver to maximize performance. The P-TCS improves smoothness of intervention by 30% compared to the previous Huracán RWD model; improves corner-exit traction by 20% and enhances oversteer by 30%.

The Huracan EVO RWD has a hybrid suspension comprising carbon fibre components and Aluminium. The cars sits on double wishbone suspension with overlapped quadrilaterals and passive shock absorbers. The car body is made from Aluminium and composite materials. As a result, the Huracan EVO RWD weighs in at 1,389 Kgs only and has a front/ rear weight distribution of 40/60. Grip is provided by Pirelli P Zero tyres which are installed on 19″ rims and fitted with ventillated cross-drilled steel discs with 8-piston aluminum calipers at the front, 4-piston aluminum calipers at the rear. However, an option for 20″ wheels and carbon ceramic brakes is also available.

Lamborghini have provided the car with an 8.4″ screen infotainment system which is used to control all aspects of the car. It also manages connectivity with telephone, internet access, and Apple CarPlay. Interiors are swathed in Alcantara which can be colour coded with the exterior paint work.

The Lamborghini Huracan EVO RWD is powered by a naturally aspirated 5,204 cc V10 petrol engine with continuously variable valve train 61which produces 610 BHP @ 8,000 rpm and 560 N-m of twist @ 6,500 rpm. The power and torque is transmitted to the rear wheels through a 7-speed LDF dual-clutch transmission. This power train is sufficient to push this 4,520 mm long, 1,933 mm wide and 1,165 mm tall cars weighing 1,389 Kg from 0 to 100 Km/h in 3.3 seconds, keep the pedal to metal, in another 6.0 seconds it will cross 200 Km/h and finally reach a top speed of 325 Km/h. While thrilling you with such performance, this Euro 6 car will cover 7.25 km for every litre of the golden juice in its fuel tank.
