Jacky Ickx is truly a legendary sports car driver. He has worked closely with the engineers and racers at Weissach over the years bringing one sporting success after another for Porsche in the 1970s and 80s. Hence, it was but obvious that when the racer turned 75, Porsche came up with a special edition car to honour him.

The idea of the special edition car came up in 2018 when the new Porsche 911, the 992 was launched. In collaboration with the Belgian importer of the car, Porsche developed the new special edition car. The car has been designed around Jacky Ickx’s trademark Blue and White helmet. The Porsche 911 Carrera 4S was chosen as the car which befitted the legendary driver. The special edition cars are painted in the same Blue colour as Jacky Ickx’s helmet. A Belgian flag and Jacky Icks’x signature adorns the B pillar on the driver side.
Even the alloy wheels of the car have been painted in the same blue with subtle white accents, another hint at Jacky Icks’s helmet. The car’s interior is also special, covered in swathes of black leather with Pebble Grey cross stitching on the dashboard, door panels and rear trim. The X shape of the cross-stitch, done painstakingly by hand again refer to the legendary Jacky Ickx. The sports seats are 18 way adjustable and are adorned with a Pebble Grey piping with 911 embossed on the head rest.

Other special design elements include a leather central armrest embossed with Ickx’s autograph and the ‘Belgian Legend Edition’ moniker on the car’s carbon door sill guards. Even the colour-matched key fob features the six-time Le Mans winner’s signature. This car is limited to 75 units only to celebrate the 75th birthday. These cars will however, be only available in Belgium. Lucky you.
